Steve Wilson

Senior Pastor

Steve has been at Meadow Grove since 1992. He and his wife, Jane, have three sons. Robert, the oldest, is married to Jess and they have two children, Ella and Jack. Both Robert and Jess work at Open University in Milton Keynes, England. Andrew is married to Zoë; they have one son, Emmett. They have both earned graduate degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Andrew entered the Ph.D program in August 2021. John, the youngest, is working on a second Master’s degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC.

Steve strongly believes the Bible is the Word of God and it is true. He loves to study the Bible. His desire is to take truth from the Scriptures and apply it to our lives today in each message he delivers. He wants you to hear God speak to you in every service at Meadow Grove. 
Steve says that, “While I am the senior pastor, I am a regular person, and I am not perfect – not anywhere close. I am nothing without God, and if you are blessed by our church and services, it is evidence of God’s work and not my skill.”

Steve enjoys reading, traveling, and eating for entertainment. He and Jane will celebrate 40 years of marriage in 2023.  Jane makes everything better (including Steve)!
